Claude Rains certainly doesn't make a very good first impression. And yet his character vibrates with energy and humor, and it's obvious that deep under the protective layer of paranoia is a character who was perhaps too idealistic and gentle to survive for long within the Company. He now lives among people, in the streets, invisible... hopefully, we'll catch some more glimpses of him as time goes by.
