About The Fanlistings
A fanlisting is a list of fans from
all countries. The idea of the fanlistings originated from Janine Mischor, who
created The Fanlistings.
About the "Ring" Novels
There are four "Ring" novels, which were written
by Koji Suzuki. The first and probably most popular is "Ring"
(1991), which tells the story of journalist Kazayuki Asakawa
and his friend Ryuji Takayama investigating a deadly video.
"Spiral" (1995) continues where "Ring" ends and
tells us of mysterious events surrounding the autopsy of Ryuji
Takayama. "Loop" (1998) is a futuristic - and seemingly
unrelated - sequel that tells us the true nature of the Ring
curse and how it could affect our world. Finally "Birthday"
(1999) is a collection of "missing scenes" in the
lives of various characters including Sadako and Ryuji.
Why "Mutation"?
Without giving away too much of the novels, mutation is the primordial principle behind the
Ring curse.
